“Somtam” means a Green Papaya salad

Green papaya salad is a spicy salad made from shredded unripe papaya. It is of Lao origin but it is also eaten throughout Southeast Asia, Somtam was listed as number 46 on World’s 50 most delicious foods.

Somtam Street has been going for 2 years now and began after I a dream I had when on holiday back home in Thailand. Somtam has traded at lots of great events since then including The Acoustic Festival of Britain , Sandringham Food Festival, Conwy Food fest and we are part of some very exciting street food events; Stockport Foodie Friday for example.
